Melissa lives in Browns Flat, NB, with her husband and three children, a family dedicated to helping others both personally and professionally. Her husband serves as a firefighter, her son is a paramedic, and her daughter works with clients facing mental health challenges.
With extensive experience in fundraising and project management, Melissa has served on numerous community boards and led or supported various fundraising campaigns for multiple organizations. Growing up, she cherished spending every Christmas shopping with her mother for a sponsored family—a tradition filled with irreplaceable memories that she looks forward to continuing together for years to come. Bringing a wealth of knowledge and leadership experience to the organization, Melissa leads community engagement and fundraising.
After being away from Saint John for almost 20 years, Andrew returned to reside in with his wife and daughter. He hopes to make the holidays better for everyone involved with The Thora Project. Andrew is an experienced leader in non-profit and government sectors. He was previously on the Board of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters Wellington, and a long time "Big Brother" mentor in the program. Andrew is responsible for the administration and direction of The Thora Project.
Julie has been helping Thora with her yearly gift drives and delivering Christmas to families since the beginning. She always looked forward to helping Thora organize her shopping lists and ensuring that all the kids received what they asked Santa for. Julie is a "Jill of all Trades" and involved with all aspects of the organization.
